Icknield Way Morris Men are a nationally known side that perform at festivals, weddings, parties and shows all over the country, but mainly in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire. We perform traditional dances from Oxfordshire villages and the whole repertoire of dances recovered from Stanton Harcourt of which we are the guardians. We welcome diners and drinkers in our bar area and whether you choose to sit in our lovely garden, by the open fires, of which we have two, or in the restaurant you will always be made welcome. Dogs allowed in the bar. Our resident chef Salvador Rodriguez is now serving quality fresh food, with an extensive bar and restaurant menu using local produce wherever possible. Our menu changes regularly and whether you are in for a bar meal or a full A’la Carte dinner, you will always have plenty to choose from. An extensive list of wines is available by the glass or bottle, three real ales and a wide selection of lagers and soft drinks.

The Hendreds Church of England Primary School, to give it its full title, has been on its present site since 1967, following a move from what is now Snells Hall. The school is 'Voluntary Aided', which means that general running costs are paid by the Local Education Authority or LEA, but building improvements and maintenance are funded by the Church. It also means that issues like admissions, staffing, etc, are controlled by the governing body. 'The Hendreds', as many know it, is a five class school, primarily serving the villages of East and West Hendred, Ardington, Ginge and Lockinge. We have strong links with our Church, St Augustine's, and enjoy the support of our Rector.

The Hendreds Family Show offers something for all the family with the main marquee of Show Exhibits continuing to play a major part of what is now the envy of many other village shows.
